The 2025 Concerto Festival with full symphonic orchestra is this Saturday! As always, concerts are free to the public with suggested donation. The festival will be hosted at Schneebeck Hall, University of Puget Sound (UPS) in Tacoma.
We present two concerts this year that will make up the 2025 Concerto Festival on May 17th at 2 PM and 5 PM filled with hardworking student musicians performing works by Beethoven, Bruch, Elgar, and more. Soloists will perform piano, violin, flute, and more! Concerts are free to attend.
Performing in an ensemble is more than being able to coax your instrument into playing the notes written on the page.
A collaborative musician, whether performing solo or in the body of the ensemble, must be able to step forward and backwards in the musical tapestry. Soloists will primarily lead, but must still have the flexibility to respond to the conductor and ensemble behind them.
